The video, which was produced by German production companies Chromosom Film and East End Film, as well as Ghanaian/UK production company TD Afrique, tries to dispel the misconception that all migrants live affluent and happy lives in their adopted country. The plot revolves around the lives of a Ghanaian immigrant who aspires to make it big in Germany. The reality, on the other hand, is not what he wants to accept or demonstrate to his family back home.

BORGA stars Adjetey Anang and Lydia Forson, Ghanaian screen royalty, Eugene Boateng, the year’s Ghanaian-German discovery, and Emmy Award-winning German actress Christiane Paul. Jude Also appearing are Arnold Kurankyi, Joseph Otsiman, and Fred Nii Amugi.

The film’s director, York-Fabian Raabe, spoke at a virtual press conference on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, on how well the film has been received in other areas of the world.

“It appears that the reception was excellent. In the world of western films, the method this picture was made is unusual. People have prejudices about these types of films, but once they see it, they understand it’s something different and from a different perspective,” he explained.
