SAFA Confirm Decision On Bafana Coach
SAFA has confirmed parting ways with Coach Molefi Ntseki following failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations next year.
“I was sent here by the SAFA national executive committee to communicate a decision that the association will be parting ways with coach Ntseki,” Motlanthe said.
Ntseki was not present as reported by the Siya crew on Tuesday – but neither was Danny Jordaan, the SAFA president who is often part of the panel when the federation is celebrating milestones and other achievements.
Motlanthe was accompanied by head of technical committee Jack Maluleke, also an NEC member, to deliver the conclusion on the coach’s future.
Both would not give a timeline as to when Ntseki’s successor will be appointed, though it needs to be with haste because of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for the global showpiece in Qatar next year.
Ntseki’s mandate was to qualify for the Afcon and the World Cup, so there will be deliverables for his successor as well.
